3 Easy Bariatric-Approved Recipes

It can be hard to keep to a diet when you need to constantly check the ingredients or when they require all kinds of steps to make. However, making a healthy meal for yourself doesn’t have to be difficult. Some of the tastiest things to eat can be the easiest things to make, when done correctly. There are three major things to keep in mind when you’re working on a bariatric diet.

Sheet Pan Meals

For some with busy schedules, it can be best to prepare meals for the whole week.  Others struggle to make a meal for their whole family that is tasty and still in line with their diets. Whatever the case may be, a sheet meal could be just the thing to make your life that much easier. Often times sheet meals make at least 4 meals, and this means less cooking for you.

Meal Prepping

Meal preps are easy for those on the go. You can make these delicious meals ahead of time and grab them on your way out the door. These are usually breakfast items, such as overnight oats or egg muffins, but they can also be lunches for work or easy dinners for when you return home. Be careful about preparing too many meals ahead of time, though – most meals only keep for 4 or 5 days, so eating them quickly is important to make sure you don’t waste food.

3-Ingredient Meals

They can be difficult to find, but 3 or 5 ingredient meals are great for those who struggle with having extra time. The key thing to keep in mind for these recipes are ones that are based around proteins. Peanut butter, protein powder, and meat are all good bases for meals with very few ingredients, as those are the items that will fill you up quicker.
